What’s the Story?
This year celebrates the 58th National Mother Lode Art Exhibition, presented by Placerville Arts Association. I was overjoyed to be asked to judge this year’s show. Over 600 entries came through and you can see the fully curated exhibition starting November 7 at the Mills Station Arts and Culture Center in Rancho Cordova (10191 Mills Station Road).
On Friday, November 8 at 5PM we have a reception followed by my Judge Talk at 6PM when this year’s awards will be announced.
Regular gallery hours for the show are Thursdays and Fridays from 2-7PM, and Saturdays from 11AM-4PM – showing through November 23. I hope you will come see this collection that celebrates incredible diversity from Northern California artists in all mediums. There really is something for everyone to see. Here are a couple behind the scenes pictures from the judging process – I can’t show you too much because I don’t want to give away any spoilers for the awards – you’ll have to join us at the reception to see them for yourself!
