Who’s ready for cooler temperatures, falling leaves, and the start of the winter holidays? Here are a few exhibitions, installations, and activities that you’ll want to get on your calendar this season.
Art makes a great gift – especially something unique and handcrafted. Princess Sparkle Paws is one of the new Story Critters from local assemblage artist Debra Kreck-Harnish.
These fun creatures premiered at this year’s SAC Open Studios – each comes with their own story and name so you can learn how they came to be. It’s a great way to give someone you love something they can’t find anywhere else!
See the Story Critters and Story People at Archival Gallery in East Sacramento during the month of November. Learn More about Archival Gallery >
Tis the season for Open Calls for Artists for 2027 exhibitions. The Elk Grove Fine Arts Center has two active calls for Impressions and Fragments, and their annual Celebration of Art with the Students of EGUSD.
If you’re into printmaking and mosaics, or you have a young artist who lives in Elk Grove, check out what’s going on at elkgrovefineartscenter.org.
Gleefully Askew at the Crocker Art Museum
Showing through November 29, this is a Gladys Nilsson Retrospective. See her Plexiglas paintings, diptychs, embroidery, drawings, prints and more at our local Crocker Art Museum.
The 60th National Mother Lode Art Exhibition is coming to the Mills Station Arts and Culture Center in Rancho Cordova, November 5-21, 2026.
You don’t want to miss this fantastic annual show, and this year was judged by my friend Debra Kreck-Harnish!
